It works best when fishing near the bottom, from 3 to 10 meters deep, depending a bit on the temperature.

Fishing is often best in spring and early summer. When the water gets too warm, the bite usually slows down. It works best with small red worms. The wind is also important — all northern winds are bad.

Fish can be difficult to catch in clear mountain lakes high above sea level. Autosett Small works best for night fishing; this is very effective when the water is cold, as both the worms and the fish stay active.
